Tell Congressional leaders that women's rights activists, human rights defenders, and independent journalists must be supported in their efforts to build a just, representative, and accountable Iraq.

Iraqis went to the polls to elect representatives who would put the public's interests first. But Iraq's leaders are quarreling over political power, not the public's interests. Without an effective and democratic Iraqi government in place, it remains up to Iraqi civil society to support Iraqi communities.
